The challenge this week was to create a layout the depicted a scene. These are layouts I do all the time so I decided to challenge myself and do one with my Imagine and as a 1 page layout. These pictures of my daughter and her best friends from her old preschool were perfect for the task.

I used several cartridges here, Best Friends, Enjoy the Seasons, and Imagine More.

My daughter is the one is the ladybug costume.

Here is a card I made for my son's birthday. I used DVWC papers and a Stampin Up stamp set. Quarter note really came in handy.

Winter Wonderland Layout

Hi this is Misty over at The Daily Scrapper.

I just love playing with my Imagine.

Here is a layout using a beautiful Echo Park paper line called Holly Jolly!!!! I also used Winter Woodland and my Imagine. I added a gemstone for the doorknob on the house.

I put together a fun video for you all to share how I get RGB codes for some of my favorite paper lines and then used them on my Imagine to print elements and background papers to go with the beautiful lines available at my LSS.

Wow What happened to December

Sorry guys. Somehow December ran away from me. But now it is January, 2012. Time to get cracking on these books. This morning I ordered 105 pictures from Walgreens. Use code NINE to get 9 cents per 4x6. Yeah for deals!!!!!

I used the Imagine Yummy cart for this. OK no flaming, yes, this is for my daughter's 5th birthday. She turns 5 in June of this year. Craziness I know but the layout just kind of designed itself and a 5 was just the way to go. :)

BTW I still love my 5th Imagine!!!! LOL

I am super excited to be able to print from my Imagine using textured cardstock. I used bazzill texture today and it came out beautiful.

I must be in the mood for Christmas!!!!

I made ornaments all popped up and glittered for our tree from Snow day on my Imagine.

Then, using Art Philosophy I created gift bags filled with candy.

Last, I followed up with 2 chipboard houses, a church, lots of trees, and a few snow men from Winter Woodland for my front room.

I must be feeling festive today. :)

I really wanted to see what I could do mixing up carts and cuts so this one uses lots of different elements. I was really worried about the printing before I got the Imagine but the colors are so vibrant and the blend together so well. I am in happy happy land playing now. :)

Here I used my Imagine with Art Philosophy, Mickey Font, and Better Together. I loved being able to match the color of the font shaddow with the paper I used on top so easily. I even did a few cuts with the cut only feature. I really love what I can do with this machine. So much happier now that replacement 5 has not only passed the 5 day mark but is working so well alone and with CCR.

These pictures were taken with my phone but the colors here are soooo pretty.

Here is another Imagine layout. I used Kate's kitchen to creat the papers and all the details. I can tell you this stuff is fun. I used my gel pen for detail and Quick Qoutes powder puff inks for the distressing on the edges and I like the way it came out. The green paper is even from a sheet of edge to edge printing.

I am so happy I have a working Imagine and am excited to see all of it's possibilities. No, I have gone moved away from my paper piecings. I love them. They take a lot of time so I will be setting aside 1 day a week to work on them.

I do have to say I am glad I waited to get one. I got mine at a steal last month. Way lower than the HSN price and even lower than the WM price coming up on BF.

Having fun today with my Imagine. I am super happy to report that this machine is still working 5 days later. Yeah!!! I sure hope it stays this way. :)

Here is a fun fast layout using the Buccaneer cart. I used printed papers from the cart as well.

I got my replacement Imagine #5 Saturday. I got to play with snow angel. I will let you all know if it lasts past 5 days.

This entire layout is made from snow angel images, patterns, bonus features, and solid printed colors.

Here is a video showing how I do my screens without emulsion, using instead commercial quality vinyl. I also use chipboard in the middle instead of a planteen. I do leave it in the machine but it gives me more freedom of placement and keeps the ink on the right side of the shirt. I dry my screens after washing with a hairdryer.

This was super simple to make and super cute to give out. I printed the Patterned paper and the solid you see in the background with the colors available on the cartridge. Then I hit it with a gel pen and some pop dots.

Happy Halloween. This is a project I made a while back but wanted to show it again to my new followers or those of you who may have missed it.

I love Happy Hauntings. This house was a PIA but came out sooooooo cute!!!!!!! :) Totally worth the work.

For my 1st project I decided to make a fun Halloween banner. I used my cricut expression (before it's death due to age,) my pink slice elite, and my ecraft. There are soooo many cute here. Lots of layering. I added fun bling and some Halloween fibers from Joann's for the tops. My kids love the banner. Decoration is a good thing because we just moved into our new house and it is in need of Halloween jazz!!! The paper is from a paper pack I found at Hobby Lobby.

I have had the Cricut Lite Four Legged Friends Cartridge forever but have never used it. I found the cutest pet paper called Tail Waggers & Cat Naps from Bella Blvd. I love the colors and patterns. This is for a few pictures of my daughter and her new puppy.

I was at the shop yesterday and got this great 6x6 paper stack and a fun new Unity Stamp set. I love making Christmas tags so that is what these were for. I got started this morning. I love these. Now I just need to find some great ribbon and I am on my way. I used Tim Holtz distressing ink on them as well.

I love the way this super cute treat box came out. I am going to make 20 for my son's class. :) I used a black coredinations sheet and cut it using fit to page on a 12 x 12 which ended up cutting at 10 inches. Then I cut mats starting at 3 X 2 1/4 and going down by 1/4 each time. The skeleton is a part from a different cut on real dial size and 2 inches. I have no idea where there the ribbon came from. :) Add in a white gel pen and lots of pop dots and you have a cute scary treat box!!!

So my plan was to get a wreath and doll one up. But with 3 soccer games and my hubby headed back to work today we never made it to Michaels. So instead I made an Autumn wreath for my craft studio wall. It is in need of decoration. LOL Please ignore the great hole in my wall. We were off on the spot for the new thermostat. oopsies.

I love having a studio. I also love my new Art Philosophy cartridge. This entire wreath is made from cuts from that cart. I went with fun Fall colors. I hope it inspires you to create something fun today.

Art Philosophy

So I have been moving for the last 2 weeks. This week my Art Philosophy set came in and because everything was packed I could not play. This afternoon I set up my craft studio and grabbed my Art Philosophy. Even though it is a quick card idea, boy did it feel good to be creative for just a few minutes. This picture is not the greatest but that is because I need to unpack my good camera still. This is with a cheap camera we have for the kids to use.

The paper is My Mind's Eye. I used Powder Puff ink from Quick Quotes and my pink acrylic blocks from Paper Trey Ink (I think LOL).

I remember exactly where I was as I sat all morning glued to the news. I remember holding my son close to me in tears as I watched our country being attacked. That feeling was terrible. But this country came together so strongly. I have never been more proud to be an American. United we stand!!!!!!

Cheer Shirt YUDU Project

So I have been playing with the vinyl idea with my yudu. Let me tell you, I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! I made this shirt from design to complete in less than an hour. She LOVES her Cheer shirt and It cost me less than $5 total to make, including shirt, ink and vinyl. Plus, we had fun together. I was looking at t-shirts online for her to wear to cheer practice and they were $22 plus shipping. SCORE I used Quarter Note and Mikey font for the letters and the second Paper Doll cart for the pom poms.

Summer Relaxation time

Hey there, this is Misty from The Daily Scrapper.

This is what I wanted to do this summer. Instead our summer was eaten alive by sports camps but if you really want to chill, some farm time is just the ticket. Fresh foods, fresh air, and loads of fun!!!

I had a great tutorial all about how to crackle you diamond glaze but due to computer issues I will have to share that part later. The down and dirty is you heat set the diamon glaze and let it bubble up. I love the crackle look it gives you.

This paper line is Reminese At the Farm. I used the Country Life Cartridge and Create a critter. Lots of ink for the edges and some white gel pen work finishes off the look.

My sweet girl is my inspiration today

Oh how I love doing 1 page layouts using my sweet girl as my inspiration. Pair that with an awesome page sketch and a fabulous paper line and we have WOW.

This is paper from the Echo Park Country Drive paper line. The sketch came from one of my favorite designers Jana Eubank. Add in some diamond glaze, a martha stewart punch, a gel pen, and close to my heart strands, a we have a completed look.

Yesterday was my anniversary and my husband and I saw The Help. What an amazing movie. After dinner and a wonderful night of rest I have all day to scrap today!!! Yeah what a great gift. Thank you honey.

Back to School

Hi there this is Misty from The Dailyscrapper.

For my project I decided to make a gift for my son's new teacher this year. I love altering notebooks and seeing as it is back to school time, I can find the compositionbooks everywhere at a great price.

The paper line is Basic Grey, Oxford Collection. Her name is cut using one of the extra fonts from Quarter Note. I used tons of matching rub ons from the same Basic Grey collection.

These are super easy to make and people just love them.

I picked these up at Office Max this week at $.50 each. YEAH!!!

I added a cover over the spine for extra decoration.

I layout the pieces to see if I like them.

Finished project all ready to take on the first day back to school. Amazing that my oldest goes back Monday and the middle kiddo goes back in a little over a week. Crazy!!!

The summer has been crazy busy so there is no great video but I do have a great tip. Don't forget to use and abuse your pop dots. I have 3 layers on this card and it makes it soooo dimensional.

I make a quick and easy layout for my oldest as he heads back to school on Monday. Wow did summer just fly by around here.

The paper is a basic grey line called Oxford.

The cuts for the title were from Sesame Street Font and a font from Quarter Note that I am now in love with.

Picnic Project - Altered Igloo

This is Misty from the Daily Scrapper.

My picnic project is to alter my igloo. We have lots 2 of these things at various events because they were not labeled well enough. I decided this would be a great way to make our look different than the others. Plus, it just looks cool!!!!

I used my gypsy to design the decorations.

I used Mickey Font for the letters and doodlecharms for the decorations. I decided I did not have enough room for the watermelon so it was later deleted.

I used vinyl from a local sign shop that is weather resistant. It cuts beautifully at blade depth 5, pressure, high, and speed medium.

I love this paper line by Nikke Sivils called Summer. This is a layout that came from a page map I found online. I like using sketches for my 1 page layouts. I made the scallop circle with my cricut and the font is Don Juan.

Here is a layout I did just for me. Well for my son but it is a personal layout. I love this paper line called Bella Rose by My Mind's Eye. I used Dreams Com true, Don Juan, and Birthday Bash on this one. The title Ghassan is the part my sweet boy played. My son is the boy in the black robe. He did a great job and his part was super funny. He will be excited to see his play photos in his book when he gets back from California. I sure miss that boy but I am thrilled that he gets to spend some time with his dad this summer.

These photos are kinda crappy but this layout really is pretty cool. The papers are very pretty and work well together. The trees were all over the set and we provided a rug and brass vessels for the props. The cuts from Dreams Come True were perfect for this layout.

This is the layout for my "Paper piecing with Misty" class. I am super excited to get started with fun classes. I will be doing a layout class, a decor class, and a kids klub every month.

I am in love with this paper line. It is My Mind's Eye Lime Twist.

The picture is from my cell phone on opening night. I will get a better one up soon. :)

A couple of layouts from the most fun day ever with Linda

Today one of my best friends hung out with me all day while my husband took my kids to the race track. Wow, yep you guessed it, a whole day to ourselves. We shopped at the Hen House Paperie (where I was super excited to get a score pal mini), ate lunch at Dion's, and visited her dad for some SCAL play time. It was 4 by the time we finally got back to the house. We sat down at my table and begand working on our projects. She has a layout to finish and I did a couple of layouts too. Here is what I came up with. They are from papers we bought today at the store.
I found this super cute Page Map idea and this is my take on it.

Tea Pot Card (Pop Up)

Hey there. This is Misty over at The Daily Scrapper. I made the Tea Pot Card on Every Day Pop Up Cards. I know I know It does not start with M but M is a pretty popular letter and so is L my middle name and last name. LOL So I went with E because my middle name is LEE. Plus it is my favorite letter.

The paper is all from a 6x6 Bazzil stack.

Here is the finished card front.

The front is a straight forward card front but I took a few pictures to try to explain the pop up part in the inside. I went with the word SMILE because my card is not an upright card and the tea cup is set for a stand up card.

Here is the pop up portion cut at 4 inches. I used the pop up feature and this is the shift option. Then you fold it at the indentions. When you cut it you will see a small indent on each leg. Score it at that point for all 6 legs.

Hold the card at a 90 degree angle and glue the legs at the score portion to the card top and bottom. I had to fold mine in a bit more because it was too tall when you close it. So rather than cutting another one, I just folded the legs a bit higher up. :)

Then hold down the card to make sure it closes properly and allow the glue to dry. I like the Mono liquid for these because it holds soooo well.

Here is what it looks like standing up and a bit open. You can see the pop up portion starting to pop up.

I hope you like this project. These cards are a bit tricky so use some junk paper and play around a bit the first time. They come out VERY cute!!!! Have a SUPER day!!!

My project to share is a complete Princess party set up. I used the Echo Park dots and stripes papers for the decorations. My princess LOVED it. :) She especially loved the "birthday cones." LOL This is the amazing princess we hired to sing and dance with her friends. Happy 4th birthday baby girl.

So today I made them journals to write and draw in. I want them to have something they can have as keepsakes. Something to remember in their own words and pictures what camp was all about. My 7 year old really dislikes work unless is is soccer. He saw his brother's journal and went nuts with excitement and wanted one for himself. ROCK on super cool dragon from Indie Art. LOL

I used a DCWV stack for the background paper and the chipboard from it for the covers.

Father's Day gift

Hi there MISTY AKA The Daily Scrapper from http://www.abusyplace.blogspot.com/ with my newest SweetSassyDiva DT project.

For this project I wanted to go away from cards or layouts but still use my cricut. I decided it was time to replace my husband's candle so I would alter a candle for him. this year his father's Day gift is a new bike. I found a super cute SU set that I had. Grabbed the dear Father sentamint and off I went.

Here are step by step pictures and instructions to create a one of a kind candle.

I started with a $$$ Store white cotton candle, wax paper and tissue paper. No not the blow you nose kind silly willy, the gift kind. you can get all these materials relatively cheaply at the $$$ stores. I stamped my bike and sentamint onto the tissue paper using a good pigment ink. Any type will work but I have found that they water based dye inks fade when you heat set it.

Once it is all stamped, I cut the wax paper and tissue paper to size. This is a 6 inch candle. I used a piece of ribbon to find the circumfrence. I know I should have measured it seeing as math is my thing but the ribbon was easier LOL. So my paper ended up being 9 X 6. I wrapped the tissue paper image side out around the candle. Then I covered it with the wax paper. Out came the heat gun. Slowly I went around the candle heat setting the wax down. Then I went more completely to really melt the wax off the paper. You can see the murky wax paper turn clear as the wax melts onto the candle. Be careful not to set it in one space too long or you will begin melting the candle. This part will take practice.

Once you can see through all of the wax paper and it appears clear, you remove the outter layer and expose the "stamped" candle. :) Here is my completed candle.

I used my gypsy and made a tag with Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. It is cut at 3 inches. I used rub ons from Stampin Up and there we have a tag. The ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink. I really love their saddle stitch ribbon. I know my husband is going to love his bicycle candle to match his new bike for Father's Day. It is a good thing he does not read my blog LOL.

Oh Happy Day - Graduation Card

This is for the Graduation project over at Sweet Sassy Diva!!! http://www.sweetsassydiva.com/ What an amazing design team we have over there. If you have not checked it out go over and see the fabulous inspiration we all have to share.

I loved this project because I have an amazing friend who just graduated. She has worked so hard to get to this point and is now about to have a new baby. I am very proud of her. I made this card to give her with a gift card.

I used Daisy Bucket Designs Patterned Paper from the In the Meadow collection. This paper is Finley. I also used DCWV card stock.

The ink in Quick quotes and gel pen. I inked every edge. I popped up the graduation cap to give the card added dimension.

The cartridges are Tags Bags Boxes and More for the tag at 4.8 inches x 3. The scallop circle is from Easter 2010 at 3 1/2. The graduation cap is from A child's year at 2 1/2 inches.

The ribbon is from JoAnne's.

I used my gypsy to cut all the pieces. I am in love with my gypsy. Even though my cartridges are right behind me on their lovely shelves I love not having to search one out and switch the carts on the machine. I can just pop the item into search and tada onto the mat ready to be cut.

Today I am hilighting 4 cartridges for the Cricut Craft Room Blog Hop. I have Preserves, Campin Critters, Nifty Fifties, and 3 Birds on Parade.

For preserves I am sharing a card I have shared a long time ago but I still LOVE it. I used the apple. This card is simple but really makes a statement.

For Campin Critters I used the camper paired with Don Juan for the title. The colors on this are so vibrant but alas I cannot seem to get my camera to get a better picture. But this camper is adorable. It is super easy to make too.

For 3 Birds on Parade and Nifty Fifties I made a fun card I am going to use for a friend who is going on a long trip around the country. I used the car from Nifty Fifties and paired it with the title from 3 Birds on Parade. As much as I love the cute birds, I use 3 birds on parade mostly for the amazing titles it has.

Yo Ho Ho Pirate Layout

I love this set. My hubby had a friend over so I cut all the pieces and put them in a bag. I took my Vintage Photo ink, a sponge dauber, and my tweezers. I watched father of the Bride 2 and put it all together. It is sooooo cute.

This layout does not have the pieces adheared yet, so I may move them around a bit.

My tip here is to not be afraid to layer your pieces to make 2-3 into one piece. It gives them real dimension.

I absolutely LOVE this 3 Bugs in a Rug paper line. It is called Dawson. I was super excited to pick it up in Utah while we were there a few months ago. It is super cute and fun to work with. I am not sure where I picked up the fun dinosaur but he cut out beautifully.

My tip today is this: Everyone is using the heck out of the faux stitches (I love to use them) but sometimes you can change it up by running a few wiggly lines. Just put a few large waves in a line and then do a double line to add texture. It is a great way to put a different touch with the same sort of feel to it on your paper.

Each sheet on this was inked with matching ink. I am usually a fan of quick and easy which mean using the same Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. I am trying to decide if I like that or this better. :)

On the title I used stickles in random circles to add more texture to the page.

So My AMAZING news is that I have been accepted as a Design Team member with SweetSassyDiva!!!!!!!!!!! That is sooooo exciting for me!!!

Here is the card I made for the Design Team submission.

I used Life's a Beach, Doodlecharms, a 2 1/2 in scallop punch, and a water edge punch. Bazzil and Patterned Paper completed the card. I inked every edge and used my gel pen to accent the different cuts.

The sun is cut at 2 1/2 in.
The drink is cut at 3 1/2 in.

Keep your eye of for more submissions for this super awesome Design Team. I am sure all the posts will be amazing and inspiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I am going to do from now on is give you my honest opinion about what I do or don't like about different sets.

OK This thing was just as challenging as the real thing to build. Well not that bad LOL. It did come out adorable though. I would not recommend going any smaller or the pieces may get lost in the dust!!! Any bigger and you are dealing with a wall piece LOL. It sure does come out cute though. So 4 hours later Linda and I got one complete. I have a special person in mind who will get a nice wall piece from this. :) I could use some great baby papers and a nice 12 x 12 frame. It cut really nicely. I did pop up the back a bit to make it taller to accomodate the animals but that was no biggie. I used extra paper in the back for bracing. Also, on the ark, Make sure you lay it out before adhearing it all together. Each piece is unique and goes together in order.

It comes out so nice. If you don't have this file set I would get it for sure. Just take your time and be patient with it.

I was playing around this weekend with the super cute new set from Creative Kuts called Camping. I just love this girl with her marshmallow. So I paired her with a campfire, some trees (I used these to pull in some of the bright green but not too much,) and a title from the Campin Critters cartridge. My challenge lately has been to create layouts that hold true to artistic rules that I have been learning lately. I love how this layout draws your eye to just the right place. It is intricate without being to complicated to look at.

I love the paper line and the balloon bear is one of my favorite cuts ever. Being in Albuquerque, I will so easily use this layout. We are home to the International Balloon fiesta. Every year about 1000 balloons flock here from all over the world to celebrate for a whole week of mass assentions. It is an amazing sight. If you ever have the chace to come visit during the fiesta, you will not be disappointed.

I went to a crop with my friends. We had a blast watched chick flicks all day and into the night while we cropped. It was a wonderful way to spend the day.

So I got all set up and realized I did not have my computer cable to use SCAL. So ok fine I worked for a while and set up a few pages thinking well, I have to run home around 5 I will pick it up. So I picked up the hubby. Picked up dinner. Picked up my cable and back I went. So Woot Woot I have my cable now. Guess what, no laptop charger. Guess what else my laptop was DEAD!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

So, I was stuck without my SCAL. It ended up being a great challenge. I was forced to use what I had on my gypsy. I acomplished 3 layouts in 9 hours LOL.

My Creative Kuts DT Project

For my project I made a special book. My husband generally works out of town all week long and is home one weekends. This weekend not so much. This morning he heads out to NV and we will see him around Wednesday or Thursday next week. :( My kids miss him all the time. My 7 year old takes it the hardest. I decided to make him a book that he can use to write letters to dad each night in. Then when dad gets home he can read them to him. They can talk about each day. Jack says it will help him remember all the things he wants to tell daddy about. Mom thinks it is awesome to give them special time together. Plus, Jack will be practicing reading and writing. It is a win win.

Here is my project created with BLUE!! It is a project board for my 7 year old to show at Inquiry Fair. I just love this science guy. He is super cute and easy to put together.

My second project (just finished this morning) is a fun card using the Sew Much Love set. I used Bazzil Papers and my Big Shot with a cuttlebug embossing folder and LOTS of pop dots!!! The sentiment is just a computer print.

I love being on the Design Team over at Creative Kuts. Go check the site out. The cut files are super cute and very easy to work with. They cut beautifully. If you are new to SCAL and files, the beginning size is great on all the files. They are not super huge or way too tiny. Once you play you will figure out how to make them different sizes. The sizing circles are a HUGE help.

Rainy Day!!!

So I have a tip today. Sometimes I find I used the same colors in my boys scrapbooks. But I go in every once in a while and use a few girl colors with boy accent colors. Just to change things up a bit. So here is a totally girlie layout made just for my son. The blue helps make is not a girl layout but a perfect one for a boy. So, my tip for today is to change up the colors you use for your layouts. Use something you would never use on that particular layout. You just may like the result. BTW, It has been a VERY long time since I have made an all cricut layout. This is is just that. No SCAL what-so-ever. I know AMAZING, right??? And, I love my new CTMH papers. Thank You Jean!!!

Well I goofed and made a fun alter box for my boys XBOX games. then I realized, hey wait, it is springy. I am spring cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BWAHHHHH LOL

Creative Kuts!!!! Hair Cut

So I mentioned before that I have been blessed to be chosen as a Creative Kuts design team member!!! I am so honored. I love these files and the new ones that are coming out are just soooo cute. So this week I created a super cute layout for the Design Team. It is using the "first Haircut" file you can find here FIRST HAIRCUT I used papers from a DCWV mat stack from Joann's. I used my gypsy for the title. Around our house getting my middle child, Jackson, to cut his hair is like pulling teeth. He loves his "soccer hair." LOL

Spring Has Sprung

I absolutely LOVE this file set from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. It is called Gnome in my garden. I paired it with a cute Spring has Sprung title and I get this super cute layout. The paper is a Paper Pack from Close to my Heart.

So I am playing this week with some new Close To My Heart paper I just got. I love the way it cuts in my machine. Super clean cuts. Now I need to order more LOL. Get ready for another call my sweet Jean.

I spent the weekend in Arizona watching my oldest son win his 2nd state tournament for Pokemon. This is a tough thing to do. There are only two weeks of states so the most you can win in a year is two. He won here in NM last year. this year he won here and in AZ. Woot Woot. Now we move onto regionals and nationals. So if any on my wonderful followers live in Salt Lake City or Indianapolis I am headed your way and would love to meet you all.

SO yes I know this is not a layout post or even a card post. Heck I did not even use paper here. Wait I did not even make this craft but I must show you this. My sweet and wonderful friend Felicity made these for my Pokemon boys. If you are a long follower you know of our love and admiration for Pokemon in this house. Well these are the BOMB!!!! Yip guys that is a bit of blood on my oldest lip. LOL He just lost a tooth before I took these photos. It was a good pic of his so Oh Well!!!

My newest Yudu Project

Seriously love this project. My boys play Pokemon competitively. Yes I know this sounds silly but it is true. So we decided this year we would make team T-shirts. I used my Yudu. This was the first time I made something with more than 1 color. There are 3 colors and 4 different screens that go into these. This is the prototype shirt. We have several more to do. :) My boys LOVE it as much as I do.

What I learned this time around

1. Speedball inks work GREAT!!!!!! Seeing as you can use a coupon for that I am all over it!!

2. I LOVE using liquid emulsion and Hobby Lobby carried a kit with the emulsion and cleaner for like $28. Take a coupon and you are at about $2 per screen. Not to shabby!!! Plus it works great. I burn at 8 min 30 sec using liquid emulsion.

3. You can use a hair dryer to dry the screen. Time saver!!!!

My project is really not my project at all. This is the choose your own adventure book my then 6 year old wrote for a school project. He decided to bind it and decorate it with my cricut. I thought he did a great job so I am sharing it with you all. Here is a picture of my sweet boy the day he finished his book. He was super proud of it.

I had my project all lined out until today. See today I had all day to scrap by myself. My amazing husband, you know the one who bought me a cake mini, yudu, and a cartridge for Valentine's Day, took all 3 of my kids to a race today. These tend to be all day events even going late into the night. Woot Woot I got 12 hours all to myself. My house was clean so I scrapped to my heart's content. Happy Mama.

I used the Harmony Bear with my Quarter Note cartridge to create the music layout. I also used the sketch challenge as a guide. I decided to do another one using the heart balloon bear. Two layouts with one guide and two very different looks.

Since today is Saturday and I love Saturdays I have 2 projects to display for everyone. First I made a 1st ever book bag using my cricut, SCAL, buttons, steam a seam, and the adorable heart gumball file. Oh yes and a few colors of fabric. LOL 2nd is a super cute card that I fell in love with. I just love this silly little rabbit falling into a platic type egg. It is one of my favorite files.

So with cutting fabric I have found it is easier for me to go with a medium cut to give me a guide and then hand cut the rest. Once I had a template to cut from I cut out the fabric with a patching steam a seam piece. Then I layered the pieces the way I wanted them and set it with my iron. I would normally sew the edges but this bag had other ideas LOL. I used cross stitch thread to sew the buttons on so it would be thicker. I love the bag but my 3 year old daughter had laid claim to it. So I guess it now belongs to her. LOL

So for today I am throwing in a package of steam a seam 2 for an extra prize!!! I will also send todays winner a bag of buttons and some fun reminant fabric to play with.

My project for Day #3 is another layout. This is of my silly son. I used the upside down bear from the Playful Bears set. He is super cute. I cut him pretty big since it would be a 1 picture layout. I love the paper on this one. It was perfect for my 11 year old son.

My project today is a wall decoration I made for my daughter's room. She fell in love with this horse when I made it so i though she would like it in her room somehow. My daughter loves to wear her cowboy boots with her cowboy hat. I bought her "real" boots because she wore the goofy pretend ones so much. She will wear them with dresses and even her ballet sweats. LOL She is such a princess, even when she is in her boots. I thought the dress on this bear was perfect because it is just how Alexis would wear hers.

Now on to my project for today. In October 2010 I went on the most fun road trip with my friends Judy, Jean, and Kelly. We had a blast. We went up to Utah for the cricut circle swarm. It was so much fun. I wanted to do a layout showcasing all of us. The black and pink paper was perfect to match our shirts and then the green finished it off matching the circle lanyards we got from the circle dinner the night before. It was a trip I will never forget. I used the super cute Angel bear with scissors. He is adorable and super easy to assemble. Just not quite yet. Sorry guys 2 more days. So I am in the Little Scraps of Heaven Blog Hop that starts on the 23rd. So in two days several fantastic crafters will be participating in a blog hop featuring the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

Baby You have come so far

It is amazing how much difference a year makes but two is even crazier. My middle son has a passion for soccer. He lives and breathes it. It is what drives him to do amazing things elsewhere, such as score 100% on his state standardized test not once but twice in a row. Here is a laout (yes rudimentary I know remember I too have evolved LOL) from 2 years ago when he first started playing soccer. Then a layout from a few months ago at his last tournament. Today he plays in another tournament. He says he is excited and a bit nervous. I am positive he will do fabulous and have a BLAST!!!!!

So my YUDU is my new best toy. I am making fun stuff over and over. I found the 220 mesh screen today at my local M's. I like it much better than the 110 it comes with. I am also using the liquid emulsion and loving that too. Way cheaper and super easy to do. I am using the dpeedball DIAZO photo emulsion stuff. Works GREAT.

3 things I have figured out so far

1. Use painters tape to mask off the edges. this is a MUST.

2. Put the cleaned in a spray bottle or you will waste a bunch.

3. Do the buring part for 9 minutes with the liquid emulsion instead of the standard 8 minutes.

I am sure you will see lots more on this. Here are 2 shirts from today.

It is amazing how much work goes into this holiday. I made cards for Jack's class (24), Lexi's class (8), and her ballet class(12). Then 4 special ones for the kids and hubby. I also had to make a box to hold Jack's valentines in. This is what it looks like on a messy table LOL. I designed the mailbox in SCAL. Very easy to do.

Super excited for this.

Valentine's for Jackson's class

I used a free pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven for these valentine's cards. I made 24. I still need 12 ballet class cards and 6 pre-school cards. I can do this LOL. My oldest saved me by saying, "Mom, As much as I appreciate the time and love you put into these cards, will you please not make some for my class? I don't want to be made fun of again." :( Insert bug sad face because some stupid BRATS made fun of my baby. Insert happy face now because he was mature and honest about it. He was also super polite and thoughtful in the way he asked. So for my oldest I will make a special Valentine just for him loaded with treats he can keep here at home. You know, so said BRATS won't have any ammo. Kids can be so creul these days. Poor kiddo was barely 10 last year. OK no more rant. Enjoy!!!

I challenge is the LSHD sketch challenge. I am not too excited about this layout but I do LOVE the photos. :) The card is for the cricut cardz challenge. It was to be a masculine cricut card any cut any colors. I do like the card. I am sure my hubby will love it.

SNOW DAY=SCRAPBOOK DAY

YEAH. So I made 2 layouts so far. Both are of my middle child. One is from a Christmas pageant at Lexi's school. He was being silly but looked super cute. The second one I did is a challenge as well as for my kiddos soccer team. The challenge was to mix and match parts to come up with a new design with LSHD patterns. I added my soccer player. He is a mash up of baseball players with cleats and a ball. Titles are Don Juan and Birthday Bash (Love the font on this one.) I also used a flourish file I made on the red and black LO. More to come today I am sure. It is only noon and we are snowed in for today.
